Garage Sales Southern Oregon Style

Recently I was down in Southern Oregon and I decided to go treasure hunting at the local garage sales. The first one I came upon, I found "the perfect coat"! How could I resist? It was brand new and a steal at $20! To complete the deal, the former owner of the coat served champagne and we toasted to the coats new owner! Now that's my kind of garage sale!





I could hardly believe it, when we went to the very next garage sale, there was a brand new black feather fez hat for 50 cents! No champagne, but hey, the price was right! Now my outfit was complete!

A Great Class I took today!

While the kids had Dad in the Gorge hiking, I was lucky enough to take a great painting class with Lisa Kaus in her home studio! I learned great techniques and was transported into the "art world" which left me feeling like I had been on a weeks vacation after just 7 hours of playing in Lisa's studio! We were treated to a yummy lunch and hours of play in her beautiful studio as she coached and instructed us in such an encouraging gentle way, getting us all to paint "outside of the box"!

Father's Day

It's Fathers Day today and our kids kidnapped their Dad and took him on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge. Dad was a very happy camper and so were the kids!

We are so lucky to live so close to such beauty.
